Since I was young, drawing and painting has always been a part of my life. I had a talent for drawing from an early age and was encouraged by my family to continue. I entered college to persue an engineering degree but soon discovered that art was my real passion. I painted in the early years after graduation in acrylics but the demands of a job and raising a family derailed any aspirations to persue my art. When I retired from a 30+ career in advertising in 2005 I decided to try watercolor. By reading books and taking a watercolor class I became hooked. I love the excitement of watercolor and it's neverending variety . I am constantly amazed at the unexpected results and the variety of textures, shapes, values and colors that come from watercolor painting.
